However, Jones is unlikely to have a big role in the offense with James Conner back in the picture. This season, Jones has 85 rushing yards on 23 attempts with two touchdowns in six games. He could see a few snaps on Sunday, but it probably won't be enough to warrant streaming Jones in any fantasy formats.

Jones was claimed on waivers from the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 9 and was cut nine days later, only to resurface on Arizona's practice squad. He hasn't played yet for the Cardinals, but in four games with the Saints, he had 70 yards on 21 carries and four catches for 21 yards while finding the end zone three total times. If Demercado is unable to play in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns, Jones could serve in a change-of-pace role behind Keaontay Ingram.

The 25-year-old was originally picked up off waivers by the Cardinals in early October. He rushed for 70 yards on 22 attempts and scored two touchdowns this season. The expectation is that Jones will serve as depth in the backfield for Arizona. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Jones to have reliable value.

Keaontay Ingram (neck) has also missed two straight games, so it's an understatement to say that Arizona's backfield is dangerously thin heading into their Week 6 game against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. Rookie Emari Demercado became the team's lead back in the Week 5 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals when Conner was injured, and he'll be a popular waiver-wire addition this week. Jones had 21 carries for 70 yards (3.3 yards per carry) and two touchdowns and added four catches for 21 yards in four games for the Saints. Don't expect him to be heavily involved right away as he learns a new offense in the desert.

Jones ran 12 times for 34 yards and punched in two touchdowns in the win. While Williams is trending towards being out this week, rookie Kendre Miller (hamstring) has logged back-to-back practices and looks like he will be ready to make his NFL debut on Sunday. Miller should lead the backfield and although Jones should see some work, it likely won't be enough to make him fantasy-relevant.

The New Orleans Saints signed running back Tony Jones Jr. to their 53-man roster from their practice squad on Wednesday. Alvin Kamara still has one game left to serve on his suspension and Jamaal Williams (hamstring) is now set to miss time after getting hurt in Monday night's win over the Carolina Panthers. Jones played 52% of the offensive snaps against Carolina and scored two touchdowns at the goal line, but he had just 34 rushing yards on 12 carries, while Taysom Hill led the team with 75 rushing yards on nine carries. Jones should see plenty of opportunities in a Week 3 affair with the Green Bay Packers, but his boost in fantasy value will most likely be short-lived once Kamara makes his season debut. Rookie Kendre Miller (hamstring) is also set to make his NFL debut in Week 3 as another option for the Saints' backfield.
